Research interests on innovative nature-based solutions (NbS) implementation – mainly, vertical greening systems, green roofs, and those related to urban agriculture – in the urban (and rural) environment(s) to facilitate the circular economy (CE) system and to cope with future challenges in cities; and how new technologies and developments can be introduced within a city for its sustainability assessment, investigated by using hi-tech approaches and NbS strategies.
